Do you already know about our citizen science and art project Dawn Chorus, where everyone can become a bird call researcher?
In May 2023, school classes all over Bavaria are invited to participate. There are also great prizes to be won!
In cooperation with the BISA project of the Chair of Didactics of Biology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, with the Max-Planck-Institute for Biological Intelligence, the Museum Mensch und Natur, the Landesverband für Vogelschutz as well as under the direction of the Naturkundemuseum Bayern and the BIOTOPIA Lab, a teaching unit with learning materials and videos for students on the Dawn Chorus project was developed for grade 6. On the occasion of the International Day of Biodiversity, on 22.5. schools and their students are invited to actively participate in the Citizen Science Project "Dawn Chorus"!
In addition, the 6th grade at each school is invited to nominate a "Dawn Chorus Ambassador" who will record the bird chorus from the school grounds, thus providing data for research on behalf of the school.
