HEALTHY FOOD AND CLIMATE PROTECTION - HOW DO THEY GO TOGETHER?

A panel discussion of the Botanischer Garten München-Nymphenburg, the Museums Mensch und Natur and BIOTOPIA in cooperation with the Global Food Summit.

Greenhouse gases are a major factor in man-made global warming. The production of food, especially animal-based food, generates a lot of CO2 and methane. A diet rich in animal-based foods contributes to obesity. The discussion of the Munich Botanical Garden, the Museum Mensch und Natur and the new museum BIOTOPIA will highlight the connection between global warming, food production and healthy nutrition. The focus will be on tangible measures that each and every one of us can take. Professor Charlotte Streck, expert on climate change and food safety, Professor Hans Hauner, Director of the Else Kröner-Fresenius-Centre for Nutritional Medicine at the TU Munich, and Maximilian Lössl, founder of Agrilution, an intelligent vertical farming system for your home, will be on the panel.
